Out of Hours

The NHS has introduced a new telephone line for use when your surgery is closed. This number 1-1-1 is a free phone and you will not be charged for using it. If you require urgent medical assistance when the surgery is closed please dial 1-1-1 and you will be put through to the out of hour’s service.

Accident & Emergency

Long A&E waits are rising steeply!

We would like to tell you what services are available to you which may be more appropriate to your needs.

If you have an URGENT medical problem that cannot wait and the surgery is OPEN you can phone us on 260 9119 and request an urgent appointment. If you would like advice about an ongoing medical problem or medication that you have already seen your doctor about you can ask for a telephone consultation. We priorities these calls so please tell the reception if your problem is urgent. We will give you a time that the doctor will ring you. Please note we also offer book-on-day appointments for urgent problems; just phone us on 260 9119.

Please AVOID going to A&E UNLESS you or your child has suffered an ACUTE ACCIDENT or other EMERGENCY.

You will get better and faster advice and treatment by choosing one of the above options.

If you have acute severe onset of chest pain, any other sudden severe pain or any symptom that you feel is life-threatening dial 999. Otherwise please contact the surgery or NHS 111.
